Please note that if you apply for a course that is not marked as full, it does not mean you will automatically receive a place. You will be advised after the closing date whether your application form has been successful.


Child Protection (Multi-agency) Courses Who are they for?
Level 1 - Course Dates Those who have regular contact with children and young people e.g. housing staff, faith group members, health visitor assistants, child minders, receptionist, general patrol police officers, youth workers, nursery staff & sports and leisure staff. Level 2 - Course Dates Practitioners who work regularly with children and young people e.g. general practitioners, faith group and youth leaders, nurses, probation officers, nursery nurses, adoption staff, dentists, mental health staff, paediatric, learning disability staff, occupational, army welfare and military police, therapist, teachers, physiotherapists, drug and alcohol abuse staff, opticians & EWO’s. Level 2 Update - Course Dates Practitioners who work regularly with children and young people who attended the Level 2 course three years ago. Click here for further information regarding levels of child protection training.
Level 3 - Course Dates Those with a lead responsibility to staff who have contact with children and for cascading training Those who work with complex cases and undertake s47 enquiries Those with a lead responsibility to staff who have contact with children . Those responsible for referring concerns e.g: social workers, staff nurses, police CPU staff, paediatricians, designated health staff, CAMHS staff & education staff. Update needed every 2 years. Level 3 Update - Course Dates Those with a lead responsibility to staff who have contact with children and for cascading training. Those who work with complex cases and undertake s47 enquiries. Those with a lead responsibility to staff who have contact with children. Those responsible for referring concerns who attended the Level 3 course two years ago. Level 4 - Course Dates For Operational managers, Locality team managers and Managers of other agencies who have a responsibility for the promotion of the welfare and safety of children. Click here for further information regarding levels of child protection training.
