Using ContactPoint
Following the election of the current Government in May 2010 it has been announced that:ContactPoint (a basic online directory for authorised staff who need it to do their jobs) will not have a long term future.
The Department of Education have advised that “they will develop better ways of keeping children safe. The investment in ContactPoint will not be wasted because the technical expertise can be used to protect those children most in need. But the idea of a single national IT database for all children has gone for good”. (1-6-10)
