Description: The Training and Development Team provides training to staff working in Wiltshire and Swindon who care for children with complex health care needs and/or technology dependency.
The day-long workshop is organised as follows:
• Session 1: 9.30am-12:00: for staff working with a child who has seizures for which rescue medication has been prescribed
• Session 2: 12.00-1.00pm for staff working with a child who has a severe allergy for which an EpiPen/injector has been prescribed
• Session 3: 1.00pm-3.30pm for staff working with a child who has a gastrostomy button or PEG used to administer feeds/medications
Additional sessions can be added on request to provide training for the safe administration of oxygen and oral suction. These would be run from 3.30pm-5.00pm.
